About Peter
Having grown up with a professional potter in my family, I was exposed at a very early age to the wonder of creating with clay. That interest continued developing through high school and led to a Fine Arts major in college. While life intervened by way of other careers, to include a professional chef, retired United States Coast Guard member, and professional Firefighter, ceramics was always a part of my creative expression and the move to Montana has afforded me the opportunity to devote a full measure of my passion for this medium.
I specialize in wheel throwing and drawn to classic forms such as vases, urns, and bowls. Also very interested in other ceramic techniques such as, the Japanese technique of Raku and the Baltic technique of Obvara both of which produce unique finishes.
Presently I offer classes in beginning and intermediate wheel throwing to small groups as well as private lessons.
Commissioned Work
If you are looking for custom-made ceramics, I am open for commissioned work and would love to collaborate with you to bring your ideas to life. Please get in touch, and let's explore the possibilities together!"
